A great activity to do after reading If You Give
a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Numeroff. Add
whiskers, eyes, a pom-pom nose and fill
in the blanks with what your mouse would want!
Hand Clangers
Trace your hands; glue a big button or toy jewel to the middle.
Tape popsicle sticks to the back. Make noise by hitting them together!
Droopy Dog Ears
Octopus is modelling our homemade droopy dog
ears. They don't fit her head- but they will fit yours!
Who Took the Cookies?
Include lyrics to Who Stole the Cookies from the
Cookie Jar under cookie jar picture. Have children
write their name in the blank space. Add chocolate
chips to the cookies.
Garbage Truck and Garbage Can
This truck is hauling lots of paper! To make a garbage can
like the one that appears in the book Raccoon Tune by Nancy Shaw,
cover a small cup with tinfoil. Add goldfish crackers.
Valentine Bookmark
Glue a row from an old calendar onto construction paper. Add
stickers, ribbon and a message such as You Make My Day.

as you can see, they have just eaten their pie!

Write your wish under the star (leave a side unglued)
Jumping Over the Moon
Whee! Attach a cow to a moon with a paper fastener
and watch her jump over the moon as you move
her side to side
